In his role as Chairman of African Mission Healthcare, Mark supports the work of Christian medical missionaries that supply an indispensable source of care for the African poor and is likely the world’s largest supporter of Christian medical missions. Mark also co-founded and Chairs United Hatzalah of Israel, a crowd-sourced system of volunteer first-responders that enables Israelis to be treated within the three minutes that separate life from death following trauma. Mark’s book on how the meaning of life is revealed in the Haggadah, “The Telling,” is forthcoming from St. Martin’s Essentials. His podcast, “The Rabbi’s Husband,” features conversations with guests about the Biblical passage of their choice — with the goal to show how the Bible enables us to live happier, better, and more meaningful lives today.
